Hello, again. I’d like to reintroduce myself. I’m Kelly.

Well, it’s happened again.

I ran into a major website issue that set me back and delayed a number of things, including my podcast, which is never easy when you care about showing up consistently. At the same time, I know who I am. I have tenacity, and I am not giving up. So here we go again, and I am committed to making this better than ever. Thank you for being on this journey with me.

I’ve been creating and sharing ideas online since 2008.

When I stopped and really looked at it, I realized I’ve created over 1,400 pieces of content, 260 of which are episodes of the Wired Educator Podcast. That’s years of thinking, writing, reflecting, creating, and trying to contribute something meaningful to others. That work matters to me. It always has.

The path to get here, however, has not been smooth.

For a long time, I built on WordPress, and while it served me for a season, it also created more problems than it should have. Sites crashed. Errors piled up. Entire sections of my work became inaccessible. I’ve had to start over more than once, not because I wanted to, but because I had no choice.

What bothers me most is not just losing access to that work, but I also lost the breadcrumbs all over the internet… links that once led people back to me and my work, now those old links lead to nowhere. (It would be great if you would consider resharing my work with your friend, colleagues and followers.)

I made a decision to clean everything up, start again and move everything to Squarespace.

This is a fresh start, but it is also a better foundation. It finally feels like a true home for my work, a place where the Wired Educator and everything I do as a speaker, author, and educator can live together in a way that makes sense. I may bring some of that earlier content back over time because there is a lot there worth revisiting, but right now my focus is on moving forward with clarity and purpose.

So let me reintroduce myself I am an author, a speaker, and an educator. I have spent thirty-five years in education, starting in the classroom and growing into leadership. I have had the opportunity to keynote on four continents, write books, and host conversations with educators and leaders from around the world. Over time, my work has evolved, and so have I.

People remember different versions of me, and that is part of the journey.

Last week, a friend cutting my hair thought I still did large stage paintings, and I smiled because that was part of my story. It still is in some ways, but it is no longer the center of what I do.

Today, my focus is clear: I speak and I coach, and I work with educators and leaders who want to reconnect with their purpose, lead with authenticity, and bring energy back into their work. I help people see their challenges differently, recognize the opportunities in front of them, and develop the habits that allow them to show up at their best. My book, Along Came a Leader, and the Leadership Matrix I have developed are both rooted in that mission, but what matters most is bringing those ideas to life in real settings with real people.

If you are leading a school, a district, an organization, or planning an event, I would like to work with you. I would like to speak at your opening day, contribute to your conference, and create an experience that leaves your people feeling energized, valued, and ready to do their best work. I also coach leaders one on one and in cohorts, where we take the time to think deeply, build meaningful habits, and transform how you show up each day.

I am glad to be back, and I am even more grateful to have a place to share this work in a way that feels right.

Kelly
